Oh, How Pinteresting! Derby Days

Hey did y'all realize The Kentucky Derby coincides with Cinco De Mayo this year?
If there was ever an excuse to throw a party or attend a fabulous fete, it's this Saturday.
And considering it's also my birthday weekend, you can bet I'll be indulging in a few mint juleps & margaritas!
So for some marvelous Kentucky Derby inspiration, here are my fave America's Race pins:

Full Southern: big hair, big hats, & a big race. Love it!

And who has attending Kentucky's finest event on their bucketlist?
They don't call it "The Greatest Two Minutes In Sports" for nothing.

Happy Wednesday y'all!

Maci wanted to go there for her birthday and one year Im going to take her. The hotels are what is the kicker my oh my the cheap to norm average for 100-200 a nite well when the derby weekend they jack them up to 500-1000 crazy right.
Every year we get dressed up in fun outfits, make southern treats and always always drink sweet tea out of my mint juleps while watching the Derby. But this year some crazy planned a barrel run for that day. Uhhhh we are not happy with this at all so once I find out who planned this brilliant idea I will def get down to the bottom of it.
You best believe we have the DVR set.

That cupcake looks like Heaven in a little paper cup.
I do think it would be fun to get all dressed up and go to the Derby.

so fun! i've actually never been to the Derby because the Nashville horse races, Steeplechase, is usually only one week later + we go to that instead. I do have to check out the Derby at least once, though - maybe next year. loving the fashion + food in this post!

This is one of my favorite events! Sadly, I'm not going this year, but have been many times previously, and adore it.

I hope your birthday weekend is absolutely AMAZING.

1) I want to eat the sandwiches on that Southern Living table. Now.

2) That vintage ticket is too cool - I'd never think of something like that but what a cool gift for a sports enthusiast.

HBD in advance. Big plans?!?!
