Words To Live By

I just ended the most stressful, longest work week of my career.
If something could go wrong, it did go wrong.
As a result, I'm physically, mentally and emotionally exhausted.
By the end of this hectic week I even found myself questioning my purpose & passion for my work.
Have you ever had days, weeks like that?

But then I remembered this command from Proverbs, the book of the Bible chock full of wisdom.
We're told to simply trust God.
Just trust God's plan and depend not on what our minds see & feel.
And to seek His will for our lives in all that we do.
Then God will make our paths straight.

Life is full of curveballs and stressful situations.
But no matter our circumstance we can rest in the knowledge that our God is faithful.
And His good plan for our lives will come to fruition, if we trust, obey & persevere.

I'm praying we all have a blessed week, trusting God, seeking His will for our lives
and persevering regardless of our current circumstances.

I have days/weeks like that quite often. As a mother I find that I am always wondering the same things: am I being present enough, patient, enough, loving enough? Am I a good example, am I giving them the best parts of me at all times? Do I deserve the honor of molding their young souls at all?

Doubt seems to come with the territory, for me, where those things are concerned.

However, as you so eloquently stated, "we can rest in the knowledge that our God is faithful...obey & persevere".

I know He has a plan in place for me and one of those plans included my being a mother/wife and He's never wrong. I trust in His vision and just try and act like the woman of faith I know I am at all times. The rest I place in His hands.

Thanks for this great inspirational vitamin!

I am sorry to hear that Ally. I have certainly had those very same weeks! Such a great reminder of what to focus on during those times. Praying you have a better week ahead! :)

I hope this week goes better for you. Unfortunately, some weeks are like that. I hope your weekend was good. Beautiful words as usual.

I feel like the past year has been like this for me, but I'm finally starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. This and Jeremiah 29:11 have been my go-tos on numerous occasions.

I hope this week is so much better for you. Those stressful weeks are SO draining.

PS - I'm catching up on reading, so apologies in advance for blowing up your comments.
