Words To Live By

I love this scripture, the promises God makes us here.
Sadly, bad things will always happen to good people, but no matter what
God is with us, whatever tribulation or trial comes our way.
In fact, Paul reminds us in Romans (8:28) that God works all things for good.

"...Under His wings you will find refuge"
I can't think of a more wonderful comfort, can you?

I read a book once that talked about this verse and if you study the Jewish implications it's even more astounding. If I remember correctly, Jews used to wear these robes and when they stretched their arms out, they would have wings. The wings had significance to the priest's followers. I don't remember it all but that verse does have significance more than just a bird's wings. It's awesome!

*sorry, the Jewish priests are the ones that wore the robes.

I love this Ally! Any verse from Psalm always gives me this explainable level of comfort (which is probably God's intentions...ha).

Thanks so much for sharing this. I absolutely love these posts!
