All of this is to say that today I am shamelessly and unabashedly
Favorite Comfort Food: Brown Butter Parmesan Chicken Linguine. I'm afraid to admit how much of this I'd eat in one sitting.
Favorite Outfit: Red & Turquoise Inspiration
Favorite Bauble: Chevron Stack Bangles
Favorite New (to us) TV Show: Worst Cooks In America. Seriously, Jeff & I laugh our butts off at this show. These folks, bless their hearts, have trouble making toast! And the dumbfounded looks on Chef Anne Burrell's face alone are worth the watch. It's hysterical! And i'm officially obsessed.
Favorite Quote: From Author Ayn Rand. While I don't agree with her religious views, I'm a huge fan of her books Fountainhead & Atlas Shrugged. Read them if you haven't already. As for this quote... I believe it was an Atlanta housewife who also said it best: "Who gon' stop me Boo?!" :)
Favorite Cover Band: Walk Off The Earth. Full disclosure, I'm obsessed with Gotye right now. (Don't judge.) But this cover band is freakin' amazing! Their version of Somebody That I Used To Know is almost better than Gotye's original. Check out their other covers & videos. Simply awesome.
Favorite Gym Class Hero: Legendary Runner Pat Farmer just finished his run from the north pole to the south pole last Sunday. That's 20,919 km in 10 months, 13 days - which means he ran 40-50 miles/day for 10 months. Just wow. Oh and did I mention he ran this for charity? Yeah, see he raised $100 million for the International Red Cross. Simply amazing.
Favorite Giggle: Every time I see it, I can't stop laughing. Every. Single. Time. Yes, I know I'm 12.
Favorite DIY: How to Turn A Vintage mantle Into A Chic Headboard. Sweet Leslie of Life In It's Ordinary Form made this over her summer break. It's so pretty & I love that gorgeous yellow! Did I mention she's a UGA girl too? No doubt, she's aces in my book. Click over to her site to check out the deets & subscribe!
Favorite Sneak Peek Trailer: Mad Men is back! Season 5 starts Sunday March 25th and I can't wait. Here's a little teaser clip for the upcoming season
Favorite cocktail: Cherry Lime Margarita. Come to Mama....
Favorite Dreamy Getaway: Casas Brancas, Brazil. Jeff & I are tossing around ideas for a mission trip this summer followed by a week's vacation. Ecuador & Brazil are top destinations on the list. This pic has me dreaming of blue waters and sandy beaches. Calgon take me away!
Favorite Sweet Treat: Take 5 Cupcakes via My Baking Addiction. A devil's food cupcake with peanut butter frosting and topped with chocolate glaze & a Take 5 candy bar. I die.
Favorite New Site: The EveryGirl! Amazing new online resource for professional women by professional women. The bread & butter of Everygirl: careers, finance, fashion, fabulous living, health, food, and travel.
Favorite Gymspiration: Women's Health Weekend Challenges. Every Friday, Women's Health Mag posts a workout challenge for the weekend. Last weekend's workout was Russian Twists, 3 sets of 8 before every meal just over the weekend. Pretty easy & a fun way to kick up your workout for a few days!
So those are my picks of the week. What are some of your favorite finds?
Happy Friday y'all!!

A mantel turned head board. Genius!
Russian Twists.... Aren't those great? I learned to do a version of them from my last trainer. They are one of my favorites.

I need to try that recipe - sounds delish! Love the red/turqoise theme. Our friends 1 year old's party next weekend is using those colors - so fun and playful!
