Stunning Handbags By Kara Ross - Style Guru

I'll give you 3 guesses where I'm gonna be this weekend. Actually, if you read yesterday's Currently post you already know I'll be spending the weekend in the most wonderful, amazing college town in America. You think I'm exaggerating? Well maybe a little, but I'm unashamedly biased. The best 4 years of my life were spent at UGA in the Classic City of Georgia. Actually some of the best memories of my life since I was a baby have Athens in them. And there's good reason for the gushing, I assure you. For years publications have awarded the Classic City for it's amenities, restaurants, ground-breaking music scene, chic downtown & SEC Gameday atmosphere. Just this year Southern Living recognized Athens, Georgia as one of the South's Best College Towns and Huffington Post picked Athens as a top Hipster College Town. Needless to say, for me & most other Alumni, it's Heaven on earth.
I don't get back to Athens as often as I'd like and this weekend will be my first visit since last winter. To say I'm on pins & needles to pack up the car & head south is an understatement. I can't wait to see great friends, tailgate all Saturday, walk around our gorgeous North Campus and cheer on the Dawgs! And that cute little modcloth dress is the perfect choice to kick off the first home game of the season. I just love it! Plus it's just retro enough to work with my Elva Fields black cherry necklace I've been dying to wear. If we lose to the chickens on Saturday though you can bet it'll all be burned as a sacrifice for bad luck. You think I'm joking...
So what are y'all doing this weekend? And what Gameday fashions are you rocking this 2nd Saturday of football season?

i'm sure you're going to have an amazing weekend! the outfit is super chic - love it! our weekend plans haven't been solidified, but i can bet that it'll entail football (both SEC + NFL), cooking, + time with friends. not too bad!
Whoop Whoop I know your excited to get to see your Dawgs and I know you are going to Fab-U-Lous. I love this ensemble!
My weekend are Friday is Hubby birthday so I will cook and do that and Saturday hopefully be lazy and watch SEC Football.
Amy - That sounds awesome! Football season really starts when the NFL gets in the picture. Are y'all Titans fans or Patriots fans? Or maybe both? If you make some scrumptious football food I hope you'll blog it :)
Kelli - Happy Birthday to your Mr!! I can't wait to see what you've got planned for his big day :) There's tons of good SEC games on this weekend, so Saturday will be the perfect time to couch-gate! LSU should roll over Northwestern State, but the Bama / Penn St game should be a fun one to watch! Roll Tide Roll.
How do you guys decide which games to attend?
Kristin - Great question! It's not easy. In July after we've been confirmed for both sets of season tickets we have a pow-wow in the kitchen with a white marker board and divide up both UGA & Bama's home games first, then start negotiating for away game based on location, strength of game/rivalry & attendance of friends & family. The last game of the season is the toughest bc both Bama & UGA play their biggest rivals on the same day. So we usually pick whichever team is at home. So far it's worked out well. We'll see which tune I'm singing next year when Bama has to play UGA again though. I'm already dreading it, haha
Loved the window boxes. My company does landscape design and install. I love all of the fall annuals and landscaping this time of year.Hope you have a great time at the game! GO DAWGS!
Dave: I love to garden! And ditto - my favorite season for annuals is Fall. I can't get enough of the ornamental cabbages, kales, pansies, snapdragons, etc. All the jewel tone colors are just beautiful! Thanks - i know we'll have a great time in Athens. But it'll be even better if we can pull off a win. GO DAWGS indeed!
Love, love, LOVE your Game Day outfit! That dress is too perfect.
I really don't see how the best years of anyone's life could be anywhere but Athens. Like you, the four years I spent there were the most wonderfully amazing years of my life. As were all of the times growing up I spent in The Classic City with my family on game days.
Go Dawgs!!
Girl, I am actually going to be able to attend this game- woo hoo!! I just hope that our beloved Dawgs can work this game out and pull out a win, since it literally might be the only game I get to go to! Yes, babysitters are rather difficult to find on gamedays- and I can't afford the ones that are willing to come help me out!
Your outfit looks killer, I have a v-neck red t-shirt so far, looks like I have some work to do!! Goooo dawgs, sic em....
Yay!! I'm so glad you're coming to the game. Since Jack was our good luck charm against the gators (in hoops) a few years back maybe you'll be our good luck charm this Saturday :)
Please, i have no doubt whatever you'll be wearing is much cooler than anything in my closet. I've seen your style doll- it's no contest.
I can't imagine how expensive it is for a babysitter for 3 kids under 10. Yikes. But it's so good to get out with just your husband. Hope y'all have a blast!! We'll be in section 136. If you head that way, send me a tweet! GO DAWGS!!
